Home Run Derby: Jackson Holliday Steals the Show
In a dazzling display of power and poise, Jackson Holliday of the Baltimore Orioles clinched the 2025 Home Run Derby crown, beating out veterans like Pete Alonso and Juan Soto. Holliday launched a record-setting 58 home runs, including a staggering 524-foot blast that became the longest in Derby history.
The 21-year-old phenom credited his father, former MLB All-Star Matt Holliday, for his training and inspiration, calling the victory “a dream come true.”
All-Star Game: National League Breaks the Tie
The National League defeated the American League 5–3, snapping a 2-year All-Star Game losing streak. NL shortstop Elly De La Cruz was named MVP after a clutch two-run homer in the 7th inning and a spectacular diving stop that saved a potential game-tying run in the 9th.
